These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our services and outline the procedures, responsibilities, and rights related to the purchase, delivery, and care of our products. By engaging our services, paying a deposit, or making a purchase of any kind, you agree to abide by these Terms. Please read them carefully.
Deposit Payment Procedure:
Once a price is agreed upon, a 50% deposit is required to add your project to the production calendar. Upon receipt of the deposit, detailed drawings and all other specifics will be confirmed.
Lead Times:
Lead times are based on current production and are subject to change. If lead times extend beyond the original estimate, Put Together will promptly inform you of the delay and provide an updated completion date.
Completion Payment Procedure:
The remaining payment is due upon completion of the project. Once the final payment is received, Put Together will proceed with delivery or pickup arrangements.
Pick Up & Delivery:
Once payment is secured, Put Together will work with you to find the best day and time to hand deliver or ship your piece(s). Depending on the piece and delivery location a white glove service may be used. The price of delivery is subject to the size of the piece and distance from Red Hook, NY. Alternatively, you may choose to pick up the piece yourself to waive the delivery fee.
Installation:
Any installation beyond assembling the piece you ordered (e.g., hanging shelves or frames, installing cabinets, permanently affixing items within a home, etc.) is subject to a daily minimum fee of $400.
Furniture Care:
To clean your new piece of furniture, wipe away any dust and use a rag to apply an oil-based wood conditioner. Put Together recommends using “Howard Feed-N-Wax” as a wood conditioner, which polishes the surface and creates a protective coating. Avoid using spray-on wood cleaning products, such as Pledge, as they can strip away the finish and cause damage. Please note that the color of your piece may change over time due to light exposure, so it's advisable to keep it out of direct sunlight whenever possible. Wood and plywood are natural products that can expand and contract over time. Put Together have taken precautions to minimize and make movement unnoticeable through our gluing procedures and finishing technique.
Damaged Or Defective Products
Limitations of Liability:
Put Together is not liable for damage caused to the piece or the surrounding area by forces outside of its control. This includes, but is not limited to normal wear and tear, misuse or abuse, failure to follow care instructions, environmental factors, natural disasters, unauthorized repairs or modifications, third party components, improper installation, inadequate support or foundations, commercial use, and pets and animals. No matter the cause, if a client fails to report damage within 1 year, Put Together is no longer liable for any damage.
Immediate (Under 1 Year):
Any problems that arise must be reported within 1 year to be repaired at the cost of Put Together and only after each piece is assessed for the cause of damage. If after assessing the piece the issues fall under the guidelines of a manufacturing defect, product not matching description, quality assurance failure, structural failure, abnormalities such as wood splitting, doors sticking, misaligned drawers, faulty hinge, handle, and slide hardware, or defective components within reason, Put Together will offer appropriate solutions to pick up the defective piece and repair or rebuild it.
Long-Term (Over 1 Year):
Beyond the first year of ownership, if the piece is damaged, Put Together may offer to repair it for a fee. The repair fee will be determined based on the extent of the damage and the necessary steps to fix the issue.
If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to contact Put Together.
